♥️ Loads Of Love ♥️ Ministry

♥️In March of 2023, we began a Loads of Love ministry. We were able to collect $640 in quarters and pay for 40 loads of laundry for our neighbors on March 18, 2023. 
We have, since then, sponsored many Loads of Love events at the Magic Minit Laundromat just around the corner from the church. They are gaining in popularity, so we appreciate all the donations from the congregation, the Missions and Evangelism Committee, as well as funding through a grant from the Anderson District of the United Methodist Church’s Board of Congregational Development.
We have exhausted most of the grant money and are now depending on gifts from the congregation. The mens club will be sponsoring a church wide breakfast on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with proceeds going to Loads of Love! ♥️

Salkehatchie is Faith in Action

Lake City, SC

Since 1978, Salkehatchie has been more than a church outreach program, volunteer group, or just another summer youth camp.

From Saturday to Saturday, volunteers experience more than just a week of hard work. Their  dedication and love help families feel comfortable and secure in their homes.

 

 

Please pray for the volunteers from Mount Zion UMC in Central as they travel to Lake City.

Part 1

Our New Lift

The lift is officially complete and has passed inspection! Thanks to Kathy Still and Scott Smith for their tireless, persistent work, to Cecil Rowland for doing the electrical wiring, and to all whose prayers and generosity made this part of the accessibility project possible! We also owe a debt of gratitude to Virginia Norwood, who left a significant gift to do “something good to help somebody,” without which this project could not have happened so quickly. God is good!
